Lost your job due to the Covid-19 pandemic? You are not alone. Millions of people around the world have lost their jobs. That is however very little comfort when you are unsure how you are going to put food on the table and pay your bills.
You may have heightened anxiety about how you are going to find a job in the current environment. Especially if you are coming from an industry that has been badly hit by the crisis. You may even feel uncertain about your chosen industry sector and how well it can recover from the economic impact of the pandemic.
When will the economy start to recover? Will I be able to find a job?

Bear in mind that currently there is a willingness to hiring people who have lost jobs due to the pandemic. Contract roles and freelancing are popular in times of uncertainty. Who knows where this may take you? Possibilities are endless.
While taking on a short-term role you could perhaps focus on studying and training for your longer-term career path, employment or even business venture.
Reframe the current situation as a challenge and focus on the things you can control, not on what you cannot. Reach out to your network for support. Commit to understanding the bigger picture. Change is always more accessible with greater understanding and acceptance.
